 THE
MARQUETTE HOTEL: Celebrations
Summer 2004 marked the conclusion of the
Marquette Hotel’s 5-Star makeover of its 19 floors and 281
remodeled guest rooms and suites. After more than 15
months of renovation, the final portion of the Marquette’s
major $13.5 million dollar renovation is complete and ready to
enjoy.
Says General Manager Gerard Viardin, ”We are extremely
pleased with the results, and I believe we have combined the
utmost in luxury, design and service for our guests.”
Guests experiencing these freshly updated rooms will first notice the
new furnishings and large new comfortable beds – one of the
biggest expenses in the 281-room remodeling project. Pillow-Top Sealy PosturepedicTM
mattresses, 316 count Egyptian cotton linens and duvet
comforters will ensure a good night’s sleep for guests with
an appreciation for the comforts of home.
New, brighter lighting and large 8-foot crescent
moon-shaped work desks are a welcome addition for the
Marquette’s many business guests. In each room is a favorite
addition, an oversized
armchair and ottoman facing a built-in
television that provides extra
comfort and relaxation. Granite-topped cabinets now house a
mini-bar and snack refrigerator for added convenience.
Guests who select one of the 96 rooms or suites on the
Marquette’s Executive floors will enjoy
several additional amenities including a granite foyer
entrance, luxurious backlit
halo lighting behind the headboards for reading, steam baths and
hi-speed internet.
The results of this renovation are truly remarkable. You
